Robert S. Kukulka

Robert S. Kukulka is a Managing Director at Picerne Capital and is a member of The Picerne Group's Executive Committee. His responsibilities include portfolio acquisitions, asset management and capital market activities.

Prior to joining Picerne Capital in 2008, Mr. Kukulka was a Managing Director in the Real Estate Finance division of Merrill Lynch Capital. During his six year tenure, Mr. Kukulka had a variety of roles on the Real Estate Finance senior management team, including head of asset management, chief credit officer and head of real estate capital markets. Mr. Kukulka was responsible for overseeing a portfolio of first mortgage bridge loans, mezzanine and preferred equity investments totaling approximately $4B. As head of real estate capital markets, Mr. Kukulka syndicated over $3B of A-notes, B-notes and mezzanine loans and oversaw the acquisition of approximately $500 MM of performing loans.

Prior to joining Merrill Lynch Capital in 2001, Mr. Kukulka was a Managing Director at Heller Financial where he was co-head of the firm's CMBS program from 1996-1999, overseeing seven securitizations totaling approximately $6 billion. From 1999-2001, Mr. Kukulka headed Heller's International Real Estate Group.

Prior to joining Heller Financial Mr. Kukulka spent eight years at Prudential Mortgage Capital where he held various positions in credit, asset management and loan originations in the Midwest.

Mr. Kukulka holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a BA in Political Science from Williams College.
